Boyd's Map of New Jersey / GS Edition Map

This highly detailed map covers the entire state of New Jersey along with portions of neighboring states (including New York City and Philadelphia). Elevation contours were generated in Globalmapper using 1/3 arc second data from the USGS. High resolution water data comes from the USGS NHD. New Jersey land use/land cover data is from NJDEP (2002). Pennsylvania/Delaware/Maryland/New York land use/landcover data is from USGS DS 240 Enchanced Historical LULC (1970-1990). Road data originates from Census Bureau TIGER files but has been substantially edited and enhanced by the author in Southern New Jersey using USGS 24k maps and NJGIN 2007 orthophotography for comparison. POI data is from US Census Bureau GNIS and NJDEP, with special thanks to Guy Thompson for the use of his personal Pine Barrens POI collection. Park boundaries are from USGS, NPS, NJDEP and PA DNR.
This map is intended for use on the Nuvi, Oregon, Colorado and Dakota series only. It may be installed on other Garmin models, such as the eTrex or GPSMap 60 series, but unfortunately, it will exhibit some problems. Most notably, these units cannot properly display lowercase street names.
Note: this map includes an updated version of "Boyd's Map of the Pines/GS Edition". If you have already installed the Pines Map you may wish to remove it from MapSource. This is done using the standard Windows control panel for installing/removing programs.
A Windows-compatible installer is provided which will add this map to your existing Mapsource collection. If you don't have Mapsource, see the following instructions: www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-install-mapsource-if-it-didnt-come-with-your-gps/. A Mac installer is also included. You will need to download and install Garmin RoadTrip and MapInstall before installing the Mac version.
