The "Windows" version is the .img file and can be directly copied or installed to the Garmin folder on your GPS (on older, single mapset devices mapname may need to be renamed gmapsupp.img), or copied to Orux/mapfiles folder. 

Orux is available on the Google Play Store however older versions are no longer available on the author’s web site and states they are depreciated as of August 2024.  Free versions of Orux, 7.26.xx, may still be found on 3rd party sites.  

To view maps in Basecamp on Windows use the "Mac" version, after extracting and opening to mapaname.gmap, mapset can be placed in the Windows C:/ProgramData/Garmin/Maps folder (may need to un-hide and create)  or installed to Mac using it's install process.  Those using Chrome or its variants to download  the Mac version will need to click download and then right click here (underlined) , copy and paste the link into a new address bar for the download link to appear.

Update 3/10/24:   Map updated with current data, also resolved issue with duplication of some roads seen in Basecamp

Update 3/22/26:   Map updated with current data, have also included the topo map of Papua New Guinea.  Papua New Guinea shares the eastern half of the island of New Guinea with the western half being part of Indonesia.
