This transparent mapset is to be used in conjunction with the MT Landowner Topo Mapset and will overlay on top to give you a complete and comprehensive mapset for Montana. This is some of the most accurate and inclusive road data available. The only drawback is that it does not include roads in certain locals. For example, around Deerlodge this dataset is lacking many of the secondary roads. Indian reservations and certain parts of Eastern Montana are lacking certain backroads as well. For most people who live in and around the major cities and western parts of the state this will be the preferred road mapset. There is a Tiger2008 mapset available that covers areas this mapset doesn't however the Tiger data is not as accurate. Downloading both to your unit, and enabling the best one for your immediate area will give you the best road data. I'm amazed at the forest road/secondary road detail that this road set provides. This road mapset also includes GNIS POI's.
