This mapset uses custom type styles developed on an Oregon 300 with shaded relief set to 'do not show'.

The source printed Colorado State geologic map has a scale of 1:500,000
At that scale the 95% location error limit is about 833 feet
(the width of a line on the printed source map is about 417 feet)

Installation

This mapset comes as a self installing .exe file. After downloadit it, run .exefile. The map will then appear in Garmin MapSource and BaseCamp and can be added to your GPS by selecting it and sending it to the GPSr. This mapset consist of one quad/segment covering the entire State. There is no overview display data for this mapset; the actual mapset data will display when zoomed in to around the 1 mile display level.

If you do not have some background (course or reading) in geology, you will likely not get much out of this mapset.

Be sure to read the enclosed geol.rm file as it explains how the data was processed and coded into the name field.
