UPDATED 09/02/2010:

The new look and feel of this PLSS mapset for your Garmin handheld has drastically changed. This mapset is now a transparent overlay! You will now be able to see TRS&QtrQtr data by simply panning to any location on the transparent map. As you zoom in on the GPS screen you will see two layers in succession; 1) Section lines-Scroll anywhere and get TRS data, and further zoom in to see 2) QtrQtr lines - pan anywhere to view TRS&QtrQtr info. The scale at which you see the various levels will change as you change your map detail in the map setting. You will no longer see Township and Range lines.

 Overlays on top of any topo or street map!

This mapset should prove useful for any state/government agency in Montana who uses legal description data . Very handy for field work and data collection. The data is taken from NRIS TRS datasets and BLM Ladesc data converted into Garmin format.
